International Islamic Youth League IIYL is one of the key leading youth International Non-Governmental, humanitarian and development organizations providing minimum standards of protection and assistance to refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons in sectors of water and sanitation, health care delivery, shelter, food aid, community services development and educational support etc. in the repatriation of refugees/returnees, resettlement, reconstruction in their places of origin, emergency relief assistance and care and maintenance of refugees in camps. Our organisation has established office in Nigeria since 2020 providing humanitarian and development programs in Nigeria.

Attacks on civilians and essential infrastructure have made people more vulnerable and continue to impede their access to life-saving assistance. More than 2 million people remain internally displaced, unable to return to their homes due to on-going insecurity.

Protection needs are high, particularly for women and girls who face elevated risks of violence, abduction, rape, and other forms of gender-based violence. Children – especially those unaccompanied or separated from their families – are vulnerable to forced recruitment. Conflict and insecurity have cut people off from their agricultural production, resulting in food insecurity. Climate change is also compounding humanitarian needs in Nigeria at an alarming rate.

At least 7.8 million people will need humanitarian assistance in 2025, and the humanitarian community aims to reach 3.6 million of the most vulnerable among them.

International Islamic Youth League specifically focusing on result-based performance and participatory approach towards achieving it aims and objective within realistic timeframe. Our organisation capacity includes effective and efficient staff, strict financial control and management systems, responsive information, communication and technology assets and logistically oriented to emerging humanitarian contingency planning and emergency response. Achievements are guided by core organisational principles and values for the best interests of beneficiaries and accountability to our donors and relevant stakeholders.

Our organisation intervention will address the humanitarian crisis by delivering vital relief supplies, including clean water, food, and medical aid. We will install temporary water systems, distribute hygiene kits, and provide emergency shelter materials to displaced families. By meeting immediate needs and preventing disease outbreaks, our intervention aims to stabilize the affected communities, support their recovery, and enhance overall resilience in the face of on-going challenges and future disasters.

Our organisation intervention will have a significant long-term impact by improving vulnerable resilience and health outcomes. By delivering clean water, food, medical aid, and emergency shelter, we address urgent needs and prevent disease outbreaks. This support will stabilize affected families, promote sustainable recovery, and enhance preparedness for future disasters, fostering long-term stability and self-sufficiency in the affected areas.
